NORTON legislator, Temba Mliswa has launched a brutal attack on Presidential spokesperson, George Charamba accusing him of making unprofessional comments which do not augur well with his high level position.
Charamba has been trending on Zimbabwe’s social media lately in the last few days after threatening to deal with local journalists reporting the AL Jazeera gold mafia documentary.
To this end, popular journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has since announced that he will no longer be reporting on the documentary for safety reasons following Charamba’s naked threats.
A number of organisations lobbying for Media Freedom have since warned the presidential spokes against his threats to journalists.
Taking on Charamba Thursday, an angry Mliswa urged the top official to be quiet and focus on his job instead of flapping around as he is doing.
“You are now losing it. I used to respect you and your work in the past but you are now losing it. Certain positions require a particular decorum unlike your actions. Respect us as a people.
“You are still in the system for your own safety because you squandered PSMAS money and know that you can be arrested if out. Don’t lord yourself over everyone like that. Ushe madzoro. We can only tolerate such insolence up to a point,” he said.
The Norton legislator said if Mnangagwa really respected Charamba he should have been appointed as the Secretary for Information and Publicity at ZANU PF.
“You are better than Mutsvangwa but you were not appointed. Chii sekuru asi mune mhepo dzekurova mkadzi wenyu kusvika afa? Who doesn’t know that you used your Karate black belt to beat your wife to death?
“It’s about time we castrate you. Don’t underestimate the anger of the people by flaunting your powers and privileges like that. Eat in silence and enjoy your pension in the OPC.
“If another government comes in you will be arrested and so have to live your days in feigned busy-ness,” said Mliswa.
He also accused Charamba of being a political flip flopper who once worked with the G40 faction and has played both sides for survival.
“At least Jonathan Moyo says his truth unlike you who seeks for crevices to weave through everytime. You are a very dangerous person.
It’s why you were replaced with Nick Mnagwana who is himself fumbling around achidira jecha with his failure to run propaganda. You are the one who wrote the Asante Sana speech in which Mugabe refused to resign when everyone was waiting for him to resign. Do you think we forget?
“Don’t you know how to behave as an old person in such a position? Have you ever seen your boss Misheck Sibanda speaking the way you do? Its better that you retire when at the top of your game than degrade yourself into this obtuse character,” he added.
