Zimbabwean rapper Holy Ten has accused President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s twin sons of sending soldiers to his home to reclaim gifts he had received for supporting Zanu-PF during the 2023 elections.
In a live broadcast on Instagram on Sunday, the 26-year-old artist, real name Mukudzei Chitsama, alleged that Sean Mnangagwa, an army major, deployed troops to his residence and instructed his wife, Kimberly Richards, to leave the property.
The musician, who was rewarded with material benefits including a house for endorsing the ruling party, claimed these were now being withdrawn.
“Sean, what you did at my house, I’m coming to your house. Make sure you kill me. I’m not afraid of Zanu-PF, all of you. Stop what you are doing,” he declared during the broadcast.
He further suggested that the Mnangagwa twins, Sean and Collins, were damaging their father’s standing as head of state and commander-in-chief of the armed forces. “I joined Zanu-PF because I was attempting to improve its image,” he said. “What you did, boys, I can take all of you down. I can dismantle Zanu-PF today.”
Holy Ten warned that he could directly confront the brothers in Harare, while dismissing comparisons to other critics of the ruling party.
The cause of the dispute remains unclear, but his comments mark a dramatic shift from his previous public support for Zanu-PF and have sparked heated debate on social media, where many questioned his sudden change of position.
He however apologised shortly after the rants.
